What exactly is Community Volunteering?

Community Volunteering is a joint initiative between Career Destinations and the Students' Union. Community Volunteering works with a whole load of cool organisations and runs heaps of exciting projects that you can get involved with. Now, when most people think of volunteering, they think of working in care homes or picking up litter. But when volunteering with Community Volunteering, this couldn’t be further from the truth – we are even helping to recruit volunteers for the 2012 Olympics…awesome!

Community Volunteering gives you countless ways to get involved in a wide range of activities and opportunities. You could find yourself helping out at street parties, presenting promotional videos, doing reception work, helping kids with their homework, recycling in the local community and even dog walking.
