A by-election takes place when an officer position becomes vacant during the year, or is not filled at the time of the main round of elections for that position. It is an extra chance for YOU to take over Your Students’ Union and help make SUSU amazing for all students.

There are three different types of roles to be elected: Sabbatical Officers (paid officers), Student Leaders and Union Councillors.

Following the resignation of Simon Protheroe as Vice President Winchester & Sites a by-election is being held, with nominations opening on Thursday 10th November. However the role is being split into two part-time sabbatical roles of Vice President Winchester and Vice President Sites, each expected to work 20 hours a week for half the normal sabbatical wage.

There are also 10 Student Leader positions and 17 Union Councillor positions which are currently vacant.
