By-Election

Missed out in running in the JCR election? Don't worry, you can still get involved by standing in the By-Election for any unfilled positions

The By-Elections will be held on Thursday 24th November at 18:00 in the Board Room which can be found on level 2 of the Union (Highfield Campus).

These By-Elections present an opportunity for people to nominate themselves for positions which have been left vacant in the first election. Candidates will be asked to come prepared with a short speech (no more than a minute) on why they are well-suited for the role and what they would do if elected, which they will deliver to the JCR Committee who will then vote on the best candidate. No advanced notice of attendance is required, but please feel free to email jcrofficer@susu.org if you want to run but will be delayed (within reason) or would like more information.

Both newcomers, and candidates who have been unsuccessful in the initial JCR Elections can run for the vacant positions on their halls’ JCR Committees.
