The Committee discussed and agreed to move the voting closure time from 4pm to 6.30pm. The Committee agreed that posters should be taken down by 7pm and not 6pm. ( read more )

The Committee discussed whether Sabbaticals should be able to support a candidate. The Committee agreed to continue to allow this but to ensure that it is fair wording will be put up on the Website to advise the voter that Sabbaticals supporting candidates will not be campaigning in their role as Sabbatical but as a friend. The Returning Officer is the individual with overall control and oversight of the Elections. Their role is to ensure the elections run smoothly, fairly and with due process.
Elections Committee is responsible for the organisation and running of the elections. They set the rules and timetable for the elections process
