Your JCRs
When you move into halls of residence, your JCR team will be there to greet you. The JCR is a committee of students who are current or ex-residents of your hall, elected by you to perform a number of roles. They represent the voice of their fellow residents to the Union, and are responsible for keeping people safe & informed. They're also responsible for the halls sports teams and they organise a great social calendar to get you meeting other people in your halls and settled into university life.
There's a JCR for each halls - even if you are going to be living in private rented accommodation in your first year. We've listed them all below so you can find out more about what they have planned for the upcoming year.
Monte JCR
One half of the Wessex Lane halls complex is Montefiore halls, more widely known as simply Monte.
Connaught JCR
The other half of Wessex Lane is Connaught which consists entirely of catered accomodation.
Glen Eyre JCR
Glen Eyre JCR is for students who will be living in Chancellors' Courts, Brunei House, Richard Newitt, J Block, Old Terrace, New Terrace and Beechmount House.
Chamberlain JCR
Chamberlain JCR covers Hartley Grove & South Hill halls and is just across the road from Glen Eyre.
Bencraft JCR

Archers Road JCR
Archers Road JCR is for students in will be living in Romero, Gateley & St Margarets halls.
