Hockey (Mens)
Men's Hockey welcomes all and every player regardless of ability! We have five teams competing in the local and BUCS leagues we can definitely find a place to accommodate you! We currently have training sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays depending on your team. Interested? Welcome to the site of Southampton University Men's Hockey Club, (SUMHC) the mighty 'Wessex Rangers'. We have 4 teams playing in BUCS university leagues on Wednesdays and 5 teams playing in local Hampshire leagues on Saturdays. All abilities are welcome!

Membership Information
These are the current membership fees offered by Hockey (Mens), although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.

| Annual Membership Fees | £90.00 | 23/11/2023 - 30/06/2024 | The membership to the hockey club helps to cover the primary costs associated with playing hockey in the county and regional leagues - such as travel costs and match teas. It also provides you with insurance cover when using Wide Lane facilities. Without membership fees, we would not be able to pay these costs and would be unable to play in these leagues, as providing post-match refreshments is mandatory. The money also help to subsidise the costs of umpire fees - the league provides the club with certified umpires, of whom we would not be able to play without. | |
| Semester 2 Membership | £45.00 | 01/02/2024 - 30/06/2024 | For members who are only able to play hockey for Semester 2. The membership to the hockey club helps to cover the primary costs associated with playing hockey in the county and regional leagues - such as travel costs and match teas. It also provides you with insurance coverage when using the facilities at Wide Lane. Without membership fees, we would not be able to pay these costs and would be unable to play in these leagues, as providing post-match refreshments is mandatory. The money also help to subsidise the costs of umpire fees - the league provides the club with certified umpires, of whom we would not be able to play without. |
