Ski and Snowboard
Southampton University Ski and Snowboard Club, or as we call it, SUSSC, is one of the largest societies of the Athletics Union. Our society wants to encourage you, no matter what level you have, to give snowsports a try or perhaps just to join us in our socials! We organise two big trips a year: one in Christmas and one in Easter where we hit the mountains for one of the most amazing weeks of your life. We also run a training in January/February for the race and freestyle teams only. Join our weekly training at the local dry slopes where we prepare ourselves to smash the inter-university events of the year and become part of one of our teams: Freestyle or Racing. With over 250 members, SUSSC is not only the largest club in the Athletic Union but also one of the biggest university snowsports clubs in the country! Whether you're a skier or snowboarder, racer or freestyler, beginner or alpine god, SUSSC welcomes you with open arms.
SUSSC holidays are HUGE and are not to be missed. We run two a year, Christmas and Easter, both to the Alps, but be warned, they sell out fast. (Check out the video above for the highlights from our trip to Val d'Isere a couple of years ago)
Following another successful year, Team SUSSC are on a high and looking forward to another great year of success in both the Kings racing league and the many BUCS events throughout the year. With both race and freestyle teams having training every week. Last year we had 5 race teams out and about as well as a large freestyle team, so beginners don't be deterred, there really is an opportunity for everyone to compete, regardless of ability.

These are the current membership fees offered by Ski and Snowboard, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
