- Election: Nominate yourself via the SUSU website (any student can stand, members of Union Council can vote).
b. Election of student representatives on University Committees
- Election: Nominate yourself at this point. The election is conducted immediately (any student can stand, members of Union Council can vote). The positions available are 3 places on University Senate and 1 place on Military Education Committee.
c. Appointment of Sabbatical Officers to Zone Committees
- Vote: That the appointments be approved (members of Union Council can vote).
- Student Life – Hannah Talbot (Vice-President Engagement)
- Sport – Kerry Sclater (Vice-President Democracy & Creative Industries)
- Sustainability – Shruti Verma (Vice-President Education)
- Democracy – Jamie Wilson (Vice-President Sports Development)
- Education – Sam Bailey (Vice-President Welfare)
- Creative Industries – Anjit Aulakh (Vice-President Student Communities)
- Engagement – Anjit Aulakh (Vice-President Student Communities)
- Communities – Shruti Verma (Vice-President Education)
d. Student representatives pool for Disciplinary Committee
- Nomination: Members of Union Council will be selected at random as and when required from a list of Union Council members to sit on this committee. Members wishing to opt out should email democracy@susu.org.
e. Appointment of an External Trustee
- Vote: That Anne-Marie Drummond be appointed as an External Trustee (members of Union Council can vote).
f. Staff-Student Partnership Agreement review
- Express your interest: If you're interested in being part of the Panel reviewing the Staff-Student Partnership Agreement, email democracy@susu.org to express your interest.

- Election: Nominate yourself at this point. The election is conducted immediately (Union Councillors and Student Leaders can stand, members of Union Council can vote). there are two positions on each Zone Committee: Democracy, Sustainability, Student Communities, Creative Industries, Education, External Engagement, Sports Development and Student Life.

Those elected will act as Union Council's representative on the Zone. You will be expected to attend the Zones meetings (6 times per year), monitor and scrutinise the Zone's work and report back on any areas of progress. You will also jointly author a report to present to council twice a year on the Zones work.
