Hey - here is my brief officer report...

Things that have gone well:
- elections, was great to see so many halls getting involved
- empty positions nearly filled!
- loads of successful events

Things I'm working on:
- fresher rep reform in progress
- creating guidelines for social media use and funding


Sorry I can't be there today - hope it's a good meeting!

5. PGR Officer

- Have successfully persuaded the university to agree that bus transport is a cost that could be claimed back for PGR students who have to get the bus between campuses.

- Had a successful event with a range of postgraduate societies

- Have started planning events with SUSU for Freshers

Culture Festival is on 24th-30th April and the organisation of it is continuing.

Placement Fees

Shruti explained that she had worked with the university to ensure that international students have the same cost for a placement year as any other student. All students need to pay 20% of their fees during a placement year. International students had to pay 50%, this has now been changed to equal the others.
