3. Funding Changes
3.

JW outlined proposed changes to funding applications going forward. He explained that the proposal they have put to clubs is to have a more detailed application which will help with the approval of funding. The new format will include a more detailed breakdown of income and expenditure for the clubs and more justification of costs involved in running the clubs.  The idea is to make it more transparent across all clubs. There will be opt in/out policy for clubs about sharing their information with other clubs.

The consultation process has started with clubs and the majority of feedback is positive, there needs to be another consultation with AUC commitee. Once they are happy with the format it will be taken to Democracy Zone Commitee

Hopefully this will be in place for next academic year.

4. Varsity Update
4.

JW informed everyone about Varsity. The date has been set as 13/3/16. A Facebook launch event will be done either today/tomorrow. There are plans this year to make it bigger and better. The idea is to reach out to a wider audience, other societies, Alumni, Staff, parents and the local community.

T-shirts are being designed currently, there are 4 designs to choose from. The decision will be made in the next few days. The plan is to put them on sale earlier this year. These will be sold at £10 a tshirt

JW informed there will be 2 launch videos this year - hopefully one as a joint with Portsmouth and one to get everyone onboard with the Team Southampton Ethos.

There are ideas to have other things going on at Wide Lane including a Beer Tent, Dance Performances etc. Trying to engage with other societies.
