Student Life Zone (10th May 2017)

The minutes were approved without amendment. 

Tirzah - Nightline has a new committee and currently conducting their handover. They have also made a partnership with Cambridge Nightline. The current top trends on their calls are Academic Stress, Sex and Relationsips and Sexuality. 

Louise - Nothing to report other than the annual housing survey will be coming out soon over the summer.

David - Working with Louise on housing, his Burst the Bubble Mental Campaign and adding more gender options to all Union forms. David reported that 2,445 people had attended the You Are More Than Your Exams meet the farm animals event including student parents, international students and postgraduate students. 

David updated the committee on his Burst the Bubble mental health campaign. He explained the goal of the campaign was to help people reach out for the services they might need and to help people understand the challenges that mental health can present. 

Elliot described to the committee the way that Union Policy is being replaced by Action Plans. These will be viewable online and will help to hold officers accountable for their plans.
