I have recently graduated with a BA in English and Philosophy with a minor in History. During my time at University, I have been involved in welfare campaigns, such as leading the Sexual Consent Awareness society to a collaborative action plan, as well as being involved in other societies like Southampton Hub. I have done internships with SUSU in volunteer recognition and with Student Minds in Male Mental Health, and I’m dedicated to breaking down the notion of competitiveness of mental health resources. I am excited to empower students from different backgrounds to take a lead on many community based campaigns, facilitating their voice instead of using mine over them.
Key things I’ll be working on include widening the platform for BAME, LGBT+ and minority students to take a lead on projects and working with the university to do so, and working with the university and the student body to improve upon our welfare structures, as well as run inclusive and considerate awareness campaigns that both shed light on important issues, and celebrate the many different students we have here at SUSU.
