JCRs

Your JCR committee is made up of current or ex-residents of your hall, elected by you. They represent your voice and that of your fellow residents to SUSU, and are responsible for keeping them safe & informed. They also run halls sports teams and organise a great social events for you throughout the year.

There's a JCR for each halls. We've listed them all below so you can find out more about what they have planned for the upcoming year.

If you have not been given a place in halls then don't worry. The Privated Rented Society is there to help you out finding a place to live and still having a great time during Freshers' Week.

Monte JCR

One half of the Wessex Lane halls complex is Montefiore halls, more widely known as simply Monte.

Connaught JCR

The other half of Wessex Lane is Connaught which consists entirely of catered accomodation.

Chamberlain JCR

Halls: Hartley Grove & South Hill
Chamberlain Hall no longer exists but the JCR lives on!

Orion's Point JCR

Halls: Orion's Point

Bencraft JCR

Halls: Bencraft
Often forgotten cousin to Glen Eyre located further up the road


Highfield JCR

Only a stone's throw from campus this is one of the few catered halls left

Private Rented JCR

Living in private accommodation, well the Private Rented JCR are here to help you.

Erasmus Park JCR

Studying at the Winchester School of Arts campus? Then this is the JCR for you. It's handily in Winchester!

Glen Eyre JCR

Halls: Chancellors' Courts, Brunei House, Richard Newitt, J Block, Old Terrace, New Terrace and Beechmount House

Archers Road JCR

Halls: Romero, Gateley & St Margarets
