We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, service-orientated individuals to join our team. You will need to be available from September 2015 although there may be opportunities to start work during the summer term 2015.

We provide a wide and diverse range of services and products through the various SUSU departments.

We are refreshing our service delivery with a view to establishing an exciting, inclusive, and supportive work environment that aligns with the overall mission, values and strategic plan of SUSU. Bars

At the heart of SUSU's social life are The Stag’s Head, our campus pub, The Bridge Bar and The Cube, our Nightclub. It is your chance to be part of the huge team that delivers a great experience from event start to event finish. Be it ticket selling, taking a coat or clearing tables right through to serving drinks and pizza making.

Catering

Our popular catering outlets are a great way to be busy and meet a variety of people – delivering a friendly and personal service to our many regular customers and ensuring that new customers want to return. Working across The Bridge and SUSU Café provides a busy food service environment from food preparation through to serving through to till operation and clearing up.

Comms Crew

Our communications departments ensures that students are aware of all that is going on to give them the chance to get involved. To achieve this, our communication with all students must be brilliant. In this role you will be providing support to our communications team, updating social media channels and the SUSU website, helping produce media releases and proof-reading text.

Lettings

As part of the Lettings team you will be required to deal with general admin duties such as answering phones, booking appointments, welcoming customers and assisting with paper work. You may also be required to carry out viewings in busier periods. This would be an ideal opportunity to gain experience of working in an office environment or for someone interested in the Lettings Market.

Marketing Crew

As part of the marketing team you will be one of the faces of SUSU: promoting all campaigns and services including events that we offer to our members as their Union.  The job roles predominantly involve face-to-face marketing to implement advertising campaigns and promotional activities for SUSU and external companies. It’s a varied job role with flexible hours. You will meet loads of new people and have a lot of fun whilst doing so.

Reception/Administrative roles

There are varied opportunities for being one of the many faces of SUSU. You could be welcoming visitors to the main SUSU building, providing information, directions and help or perhaps it will be in one of our other departments such as The Advice Centre or Student Activities providing the same warm welcome but with some basic office administration too.

There are also ad hoc administrative opportunities which may involve supporting core staff in administering projects, taking the minutes of meetings or data input.

Retail

Working in the Union Shop will see you provide a great level of service to our customers in a busy retailing environment: everything from handling and managing stock, replenishing shelves and displays through to working the busy tills.
