We are looking for an experienced retail assistant with the ability to work across many different departments in a high pressure retail environment.
Your three main focus areas will be
- Ensuring customers have a fantastic experience when shopping with SUSU
- Ensuring that every transaction is accurately and efficiently carried out
- Helping to ensure that the right stock is in the right place so customers can find what they are looking for
On a daily basis you’ll be responsible for heating pre-cooked products in the bake-off area, cleaning the equipment, dealing with customer enquiries, cashier duties and stock replenishment, control and ordering.
You will be working in the University of Southampton Students’ Union (SUSU) Shop, which services over 20,000 students and staff and is situated in the middle of the busy Highfield campus. With other SUSU commercial operations its main role is to help fund students’ non-academic activities. One of the top student outlets in the country, the SUSU Shop is like a convenience store, stationers and University gift shop rolled into one.
You will be passionate about upholding SUSU’s values and helping to achieve our mission of enriching the life of every student and will work with the SUSU retail team to ensure that our members receive the best possible experience at University.
