The University of Southampton Students’ Union (SUSU) is a registered charity with a £7M turnover. We exist to unlock the potential and enrich the life of every one of our 23,000 student members. SUSU is run by students for students, but our achievements are not possible without the support, expertise and partnership of our 100-strong core staff team.

We are currently looking for a full-time Student Communities Coordinator to act as an accessible point of contact for our many student enquiries and to develop and implement initiatives and policy to ensure the Union reflects and considers the needs of all our diverse members in all the work we do.

This role will allow you to work with our student officers, supporting them to represent and advocate on behalf of our broad range of student communities. These communities include, but are not limited to, international students, postgraduate students, students within halls (JCRs), and students at sites. Get in touch with us if you can demonstrate an understanding of the issues these communities can face and have a passion for supporting such groups.

If you enjoy engaging proactively with a wide variety of people on a day-to-day basis and are well-organized with strong project management skills, we want to hear from you. In return we offer a vibrant working environment and friendly team, with excellent terms and conditions including final salary pension scheme.
