The University of Southampton Students’ Union (SUSU) exists to unlock the potential and enrich the life of every one of our 23,000 student members. We are a registered charity with a £7M turnover and provide a comprehensive platform of offers, support, representation, services and spaces for our members to enhance their overall University experience across a number of campuses. SUSU is run by students for students, but our achievements are not possible without the support, expertise and partnership of our 100-strong core staff team.

We are looking for a highly organised individual who is passionate about training. You will join our existing team to administer a suite of training opportunities for both core staff and student volunteers.

The role will work alongside the Training Manager to develop a broad range of professional development opportunities for core staff, as well as supporting the delivery of initiatives to enhance our students’ development whilst at university.

Existing within the Policy & Volunteer Department, the role will play a pivotal part in managing processes associated with staff development and the successful candidate should have strong administrative skills with the flexibility to assist with training delivery on occasion. The main purpose of the role is:

 

  1. To coordinate training events and records for student volunteers and staff

 

  1. To support with delivery of training to student volunteers and staff

 

  1. To undertake project work, financial administration and research in relation to training delivery
