External Trustee

Help shape the future of one of the largest Student Unions in the country! We are currently seeking an experienced financial professional to serve as an external trustee. Our Trustee Board is student led and includes 12 students and 4 external trustees who are recruited to provide support and specialist skills to ensure the Union can achieve its’ ambitious objective to be one of the top ranked unions in the country within the next 4 years. The appointment is for a period of 3 years with an option to reappoint for a further 3 years. We are seeking an individual to provide long term planning, guidance and board level oversight to our executive finance and management team.

We are a registered charity with a turnover of £7.5M, circa 100 core staff and over 300 support staff. We have a comprehensive range of services and offers which include representation, clubs, societies, sports, events, bars, restaurants, advice services, meeting rooms, hang out spaces, transportation fleet, volunteering, a busy shop and a cinema.
