Summary of Terms and Conditions

Work Base:

Southampton University’s Highfield Campus, though responsible for activity across all campuses.

Hours of Work:

7 hrs per week. Fixed term until end June 2012.

Rate of Pay:

The salary will be paid, monthly by BACS, on level 2B of the pay spine currently in the range of £9.96 per hour (point 13) to £11.83 per hour (point 19) subject to experience.

Holiday Entitlement:

This will be based on a pro-rata of the annual leave and bank holidays and will be paid as a percentage of earnings at the end of the fixed term contract.

Pension:

The Union offers membership of the University’s Superannuation Scheme (PASNAS). The employee contributes 6.2% of salary currently and the Union 16.5%.

Probation Period:

6 months.
