Old bikes

Hi,

I was just wondering what happens to old bikes that get left in the campus or storage facilities? Does the university staff just throw them away or it is possible to buy them for a few pennies since they are usually in terrible condition..

Hi Sarunas,

The University already has a scheme in place to recover abaondoned bicycles from the storage facilities - Unicycle. They repair bicycles and sell them to students and staff for a small fee. Any bicyles that cannot be repaired are recycled for parts. This scheme also works with the council to try and improve cycle lanes around the city.
