    Come and mould the air clay, then you can get your DIY fridge magnet to take home!

    In this Give It A Go craft afternoon, you will have the opportunity to make some fridge magnets using the air clay we have provided. You can make anything you like and add magnets to it, then take them home to decorate your fridge.

    You don't need to bring anything, we will provide everything for you, juts come with your creative idea!

    Time and place:

    The workshop will take place on 2nd February from 2pm to 4pm in the entrance to The Bridge

    Please note this workshop is totally free but tickets need to be booked in advance, if you can't make it, please email giveitago@soton.ac.uk we can give your place to another student.

    This month is the LGBTQ+ month, we will be running a workshop on making rainbow bath bomb in collaboration with LUSH!

    In this workshop, LUSH staff member will teach you how to make a "Groovy Kind of Love Bath Bomb". This workshop will lasts 2 hours, you will  have enough time to make your own bath bomb, play some games.

    When and where:

    The workshop will take place on 7st February from 4pm-6pm in the WSA Cafe.

    Join Southampton Hub in renovating gardening beds at a local school, for the "Wild Citizens!" Project.

    This project aims to encourage and support primary school children to become active citizen scientists and environmental citizens by focusing on wildlife in their school grounds. And it would be very much helped if you assisted them in doing some maintenance on the existing raised plant beds.

    Time: The Southampton Central Committee numbers will meet you at Bitterne Park Primary School (SO18 1NX) on 19th February at 10:30am.

    All things you need will be provided.

We are offering a super discounted price of just £10 per student including socks!  You think that's it? We'll take you from campus to the play area with a shuttle bus, no need to worry about transport! Our shuttle bus will depart from campus.

    Our shuttle bus will be leaving from WSA and Highfield, so have a look at the ticket type before you book your tickets.

    When and where:

    If you are departuring from Highfield, meet you at Redbrick at 3:30pm. 

    If you are depaturing from WSA,  meet you at WSA Cafe at 3:10pm.

    The session will take place from 4pm to 6:15pm and our shuttle bus will take you back to your starting point.

    Come N Go: New Forest Walking with Hillwalking Club

    Fancy some fresh air and explore nature? Join us for a day walking in the New Forest!

    This time our Hillwalking Club will be leading a short walk around in the New Forest, this is a great chance to get into hillwalking and explore the local area. This area has plenty of woodland and scenery and of course the famous New Forest ponies!

    The route will be 11km, friendly to beginners, and we will proceed at a fairly slow pace with our experienced club members. So don't worry about you can not catch us:)

    What you need to prepare:

    • An off-peak day return train ticket to Brockenhurst which currently costs £5.00 or £3.30 with a railcard. We will be getting the train from Southampton central at 09:03am.
    • Walking boots if you have one, especially as this walk involves some countryside walking. If you do wear trainers or other footwear, you should expect some mud.
    • ·At least 500ml of water (ideally 1litre)
    • A packed lunch( you will be unable to buy lunch on routeļ¼‰
    • A backpack to carry lunch and other items
    • A raincoat (just in case)

    About the ticket:

    This walking is totally free but you need to book the train tickets by yourself.

    A off-peak day return to Brockenhurst which currently costs £5.00 or £3.30 with a railcard. We will be getting the train from Southampton central at 09:03 but you will need to be on the platform by then and we recommend getting there at least 20 minutes early (8:40am) to meet up with the group and get to the platform, you may also need to leave time to buy tickets if you don’t buy them in advance.

    Want to practice your coordination skills in an exciting activity? Come and learn some circus skills with our circus society! At circus society you can meeting people, getting involved and having fun. Everyone has fun teaching and learning new tricks together.

    In this taster session, our circus committe members will teach you how to do some circus! You can expect Juggling balls, Juggling clubs, Contact balls, Poi, Diablo, Unicycles, Dappo stars etc., whether you are an expert or a beginner, this is your best chance to start mastering this skill!

    When and where:

    We will be meeting at The Cube on the 13th of February at 6pm. The session will last 2 hours, you don't need to be there in the whole time, just come and visit us. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun!

    You don't need to bring anything, circus society will provide you with all equipments you need, you can free try any circus skill!

    Gardening is one of the most rewarding, entertaining and healthy hobbies you can get into. This time, join Southampton Hub for a voluntary gardening!

    Southampton Hub is a volunteering society that aims to get university students involved in their local community. This time they are they are joining Friends of Portswood Rec, a local community gardening group, to prepare the wild flower meadow for the coming year. This will involve digging up invasive grass, scouring the area with rakes and scattering seeds. Equipment is provided!

    Time: The Southampton Hub Committee will be meeting you at Portwoods Recreation Ground at 10:30am on 19th February.

    What you'll need to bring: If you have gardening gloves you can bring them, but it's not required! All tools will be provided. Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing and shoes :)
