Questions & Answers

Why is women's mental health more important than the mental health of the whole student population?

Hi, thank you for your question! If I do get this role as Women Officer, I hope to focus on mental health for the whole student population. However, I feel that there can be differences in experiences when regarding gender. For instance, women are more likely to face abuse, and would therefore be affected differently. Furthermore, trans people may face discrimination, and could be affected in regards to this. I hope to promote the ideas of Intersectional Feminism and I hope you can consider me as an appropriate candidate for Women Officer, thank you!
