Social Mobility Network Launch

15 Dec 2021,

SUSU,University of Southampton

SUSU, in partnership with the University of Southampton, is launching a Social Mobility Network in December 2021.

As defined by the Social Mobility Commission, in essence, social mobility is the link between a person’s occupation or income and the occupation or income of their parents, and how it then affects them throughout their life. We believe that all students and staff should have equal opportunities, regardless of their background, and that proactive work should be taken to break down any obstacles.

Co-chaired by Savanna Cutts, VP Welfare and Community, and Gino Graziano, University Director of Widening Participation & Social Mobility, the network is actively seeking members from our community of students.

The launch event will be on Wednesday 15 December, 13:00 - 14:30 in Below Deck (SUSU Building 42), with more details to follow.
