Join us on a Trip to Bournemouth!
Bournemouth is a cosmopolitan, world class destination located on Britain’s south coast in the county of Dorset. It is one of the UK’s most popular seaside resorts, welcoming almost 7 million visitors a year.
We will meet at 09:45 by the main entrance to Southampton Central station (Blechynden Terrace side) and we will take the train together at 10:03. Once we arrive, we will walk around to see some of the key Bournemouth sites and views. After the walking tour you can either stick with SUSU staff to grab lunch and return to Southampton, or you can stay and enjoy the city for a bit longer!
Attendees are expected to purchase their own train tickets online on the South Western Railway website. It is important that you choose an Open Return ticket with outward journey from Southampton Central to Bournemouth at 10:03 on Sunday 14th August. Alternatively, you can come to Southampton Central train station a bit early (between 09:30 and 09:45) to buy a ticket. If you have never purchased a train ticket in the UK before, our SUSU staff will be able to help you buy a ticket at the station.
