Street Dance Society
We are a dance society that runs classes in street dance of varying levels and styles. We bring together people who love dancing and create a friendly environment for everyone to enjoy themselves and improve their hip hop skills. If you are interested in old school, new style, popping, locking, house, wacking, or voguing, or if you just want to groove on your favourite track, join us in the Multi Purpose Studio (MPS).
CLASS TIMES
We have 3 classes per week taught by external teachers and on a fortnightly basis, we have an Afro Dance class! Classes are in the Multi Purpose Studio in the SUSU building- come along to any of them and see if Street Dance is for you! Classes are held every Wednesday afternoon:
Beginners - 2.00 - 3.00 pm
Intermediate - 3.00 - 4.00 pm
Advanced/Afro - 4.00-5.00 pm
CLASS PRICES
Each class costs a discounted rate of £3 with membership and £5 without membership.
A Year Membership is £15 or a Semester membership is £8! Head to the membership tab on our SUSU page for more information.

Membership Information
These are the current membership fees offered by Street Dance Society, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.

This also allows members to perform in USD's annual Pure Dance show and access to socials and other activities and events hosted by the Society. Members can also audition to be in the intermediate or advanced street squads that train and compete with other universities in national competitions and put themselves up for the following year's committee. | |
