  • The poor provision of appropriate social space for postgraduate students has a detrimental effect on their university experience
  • That the creation of the new University Graduate Centre should adequately cater for postgraduate taught students as well as postgraduate research students
  • That the creation of the new University Graduate Centre should have an accessible location on campus such as Building 3 on the Highfield campus
  • That postgraduate students may require additional specific needs compared to undergraduate students that the University’s services should cater for in terms of emergency funding and mature student provision
  • That it would be favourable that SUSU was fully involved in the running of the social facilities
  • The UGC will assist in continuity for postgraduate students
