Are you an experienced in a senior administrative, business support or PA role and looking to take on an exciting new challenge within a registered charity? If so, the University of Southampton Students’ Union (SUSU), have an exciting new opportunity for an Executive Office Coordinator to join the team!

SUSU exists to unlock the potential and enrich the life of every one of our 23,000 student members.  We are a registered charity with a £7.4M turnover and provide a comprehensive platform of offers, support, representation, services and spaces for our members to enhance the overall University experience across a number of campuses. We are an Investors in People accredited organisation who have approximately 90 core staff, and up to 400 support staff employed throughout the year.

The Executive Office Coordinator will coordinate the operations of our executive office; supporting the Chief Executive, Trustee Board, Senate and other high level groups ensuring the Union runs effectively. You’ll provide comprehensive administrative support across the organisation, in particular the Sports Zone for which you will be a point of contact for groups, club captains and other Student Unions. The role will supervise casual administrative support staff, providing effective coaching and support.

Your strong administrative and IT skills will support you in providing an excellent administrative and customer service.  With good organisational skills, you’ll be a self-starter and be able to remaining flexible to react to changing circumstances and requests.  You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy dealing with a variety of people both on the phone and in person, including officers, students, visitors from the University and external organisations. You will have experience implementing, monitoring and developing administrative systems and procedures which help the Union to be more efficient in the future.
