Digital Media Assistant

£17,764

35 hours per week – Full-time 1 year fixed term contract (occasional working evenings and weekends)

We are looking to recruit someone to join our Marketing and Communications team in the role of Digital Media Assistant.  The role is based at the Students’ Union on the Highfield Campus, at the University of Southampton.

Working alongside our elected student officers and Union staff, the Marketing and Communications team ensures that we engage effectively with our members to deliver services and activities to enhance and enrich their lives. 

We are looking for a talented and flexible recent* graduate to help us communicate and report news stories about the Students’ Union and our members by using a range of digital media channels.

You will have skills and passion in a range of digital media and be keen to develop through on-the-job training. The role involves the creation of copy, for print and online, planning social media activity, and regularly covering our activities and events. 

You will enjoy working as part of a team dedicated to providing a fantastic experience to the students of the University of Southampton and have a passion for good customer service.

The successful applicant will be working 35 hours a week which on occasions may include evenings and weekends to cover events and activities.
