Video Content Creator

£19,850 - £23,557, pro rata

28 hours per week – Part-time (occasional working evenings and weekends) 

We have an exciting opportunity to work as a Video Content Creator in our Marketing and Communications team. The role is based at the Students’ Union on the Highfield Campus, University of Southampton.  

Working alongside our elected student officers and Union staff, the Marketing and Communications team ensures that we engage effectively with our members to deliver services and activities to enhance and enrich their lives.  

We are looking for a dynamic individual who will create a range of engaging video content to highlight our services, activities and members for sharing via social media, our website and other digital channels. 

You will be required to plan and deliver the video content for the Students’ Union and will be skilled in innovative and engaging video content creation.  During the creation of filming you will be responsible for coordination of locations, students, colleagues and others who are involved.

You will be responsible for providing support, training and advice to staff and members in the production of video content and assist in the delivery of Union promotional events and activities.

You should be familiar with the Adobe Creative suite of software (particularly After Effects and Premiere Pro) and have proven ability to create video content using DSLR and professional cameras.  You will have an interest in social media video distribution and you need to live and breathe the formats you’ll be shooting.

You will enjoy working as part of a team dedicated to providing a fantastic experience to the students of the University of Southampton and have a passion for good customer service.

The successful applicant will be working 28 hours a week which on occasions may include evenings and weekends to cover events and activities.
