About the role

As an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at SUSU, you'll be part of a fast-paced management team delivering our Food & Beverage offer. You'll manage and lead a team of core staff and student support members to deliver our excellent standards of service in our Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring that Health and Safety and Hygiene standards are met and reported. You'll engage in planning, recruitment and selection of new staff, assess staffing requirements for events and activities and prepare rotas, and lead the customer service aspects of operations. You'll constantly be looking at the hospitality market to identify trends and assist the management team in developing clear policies for the food and beverage services to reach and surpass expectations.

About You

To be suitable for this role, you'll have demonstrable experience and passion in operational supervision and licenced trade operations, with a sound and working knowledge of licensing regulations and their impacts on our activity. You'll be able to prove you have experience in supervisory management of a team of staff, with the ability to lead and motivate others to deliver high standards of customer service in a fast-paced and fun environment and to ensure that all our staff members are as passionate about our business as we are. You should have a working knowledge of food and hygiene regulations, and demonstrable awareness of HACCP procedures, and have IT skills that are essential for personal working and for developing our engagement with our members. It's also essential that you hold, or be able to hold, SIA level 2 in Door Supervision, a personal licence, First Aider at work certificate, and a level 3 Food Hygiene certificate.
