We are run by students for students. That’s why we hold democratic elections for you to choose the students who lead the Union.

We hold elections in Autumn, Spring and Summer with different roles available in each election period. You don't need experience, we will provide training, support and guidance as long as you are passionate about what you do.

There are still some Academic Reps positions available. If you are interested in becoming a Rep, please speak to your Faculty Officer or Academic Presidents and they will explain the process to you. Alternatively, email representation@susu.org to find out more.

Don’t miss our drop-ins to find out more about the roles. You will have the opportunity to meet the staff members that you’ll be working with as well as the current Sabbatical Officers who will tell you all you want to know about the positions available. Drop-in sessions will take place in the Concourse (Building 42, Highfield Campus) at the following times:

  • Monday 22 January 2018 – 13:00 to 15:00
  • Thursday 25 January 2018 – 14:00 to 16:00
  • Tuesday 30 January 2018 – 14:00 to 16:00

There will be a drop-in session at the WSA Cafe at the following time:

  • Thursday 01 February, 12:00 – 14:00


The Summer term elections will have opportunities to run for Academic Presidents and assorted other roles for the new academic year
