Archery is a sport open to everyone. If you are already an archer just send us an email or turn up to one of our sessions, details can be found on the website.
We run a beginners' course for the first 6 weeks of the academic year and most of our current members learned to shoot while at University, including our BUCS gold medallist.
If you have not completed a beginners' course please contact us for information on our next course which will begin in October.
We offer the opportunity for both new and experienced archers to regularly compete; last year our results included multiple BUCS medals for our novices, both in individual and team categories in both indoor and outdoor tournaments, 4th and 8th place finishes for our senior ladies and gents teams respectively in BUCS Outdoors and 6th and 7th place finishes for our senior ladies and gents teams respectively in BUCS Indoors.
If you have already done a beginners’ course elsewhere in the past, just email us and we shall give you more information about getting started with us.
These are the current membership plans offered by Archery, although many groups offer a free period for new members to try out their group.
Year Membership (£35) Annual club membership, allowing use of facilities and access to equipment and training.
Beginners' Course and Year Membership (£40) Six 75-minute sessions held weekly starting in October, in which you learn to shoot, plus a year's membership after completion of the Beginners' Course. See www.archery.susu.org/beginners-course for details.
