Why vote for Victoria?
Hi, I am Victoria. I am excited to run for the position of Maritime Department President, and here is why you should vote for me.
Over the past year, I’ve proudly acted as social secretary for the Maritime Society, working to strengthen our community and ensure every student feels welcomed and supported. Organisation was a key part of my role, from planning casual socials to managing a formal dinner for students and staff, which raised funds for charity and successfully secured two external sponsorships. My ability to connect and communicate will be invaluable in supporting the department and continuing a strong collaboration with the Maritime Society.
As President, I’ll advocate for all students by ensuring all ideas and concerns are heard and acted upon at staff-student meetings. I’ll work to improve academic assessments and support, create more opportunities for feedback, and help bridge the gap between staff and students through events and open discussions.
I’m passionate about making our department the best it can be. I bring experience, confidence, strong communication skills, and dedication to improving your university experience, both socially and academically.
