Why vote for Karla?
As the current FEPS PGR rep, I’ve had the privilege of representing our vibrant community, bringing your voices to both the faculty and university levels. If I have your vote, I would like to remain deeply committed to supporting and advocating for my fellow PGR students.
Over the past year, I’ve worked to strengthen connections across our faculty through inclusive events like the FEPS Coffee Mornings and Networking Evenings, and by creating spaces where your concerns and ideas are heard and acted upon.
As your FEPS PGR representative, I will continue organising regular networking and social events to bring us together and help build lasting connections across the faculty. Studying at University can sometimes feel like a daunting and lonely journey. As FEPS student rep, I believe there is an opportunity to connect like-minded people together to promote a sense of unity across the department through organising informal engagement events. Such events will allow collaboration through students’ work, whilst giving students a chance to bond as individuals. Strengthening our sense of community—both at the school and faculty level—therefore is a key priority, and I’m committed to fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for all PGRS. I will remain a dedicated voice for your needs, ensuring that the right decision-makers hear and address your feedback and concerns. Promoting well-being and a healthy work-life balance will also remain central to my role. I will work to connect you with the university services and initiatives that support this. Finally, I will incorporate sustainable practices into our activities to help align with the university’s broader environmental goals.
I’m passionate about continuing this journey with you. Let’s keep building a stronger, more connected, and supportive FEPS PGR community together.
