Why vote for Yixuan?
Over my time at Southampton, I’ve held multiple key roles—course rep since first year, society committee member (Botany Rep, Biology/Zoology Education Officer), Student Ambassador, and an organiser for various University events. Back in Sixth Form, I was Chair of Student Council. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of both student needs and university bureaucracy.
This role isn’t just a title to me—I’ve actively worked to improve the student experience through education feedback, society support, and community events. I understand how SSLC works, and more importantly, I know how to make it work for you. I’ve got strong connections within the School, and I’m not afraid to chase things down when change is needed.
If elected, I’ll be committed to clear communication, better integration across courses, and making sure every student voice is heard—whether that’s through forums, anonymous surveys, or just grabbing a coffee and talking it out.
Vote for me if you want someone who’s already doing the work—and ready to do even more.
