Why vote for Daniel?

My name is Daniel Puka, a passionate Politics and International Relations student, and I’m running to be your Department President because every student deserves to be heard, supported, and prepared for the future. Imagine a community where your ideas are a force for constructive change, your feedback shapes teaching, and your career ambitions are fully backed by the university – that’s the future I want for us.

Career support is my top priority. Too often, we worry about life after graduation but as Department President, I will work tirelessly to bridge the gap between our studies and our careers. I’ll collaborate with the careers advisors and faculty to host tailored workshops, networking events with alumni and professionals, and promote internships to open doors to opportunities in government, NGOs, and international organisations so every graduate is confident and connected.

I will strengthen communication with lecturers and staff, creating an accepting environment where you feel like your concerns and ideas are heard and acted on. I’ll push for faster, more constructive academic feedback because you deserve to know how to improve and excel; I want to empower student involvement by ensuring your voice influences key decisions within every meeting. I may not have extensive leadership experience, but I can offer my unwavering commitment in building a more engaging and supportive department. Vote for me as your Department President and let me leave my mark.
