Why vote for Ruben?

I’m a third-year student returning from my placement year. I’m a friendly, enthusiastic person and am excited to have the opportunity to represent you as Department President next year!

As Department President, my priority will be to ensure your voice is heard at all levels within the department, to hold the university to account, and to make the maritime course and student experience the best it can be.  Having been a course rep before, I understand the feedback process to be able to support representatives and will always listen to and action your suggestions, update you on ongoing discussions and outcomes, and be approachable to talk to individually and confidentially.

Open and constructive communication between students and the department is the only way to improve the maritime experience for everyone, and I am the candidate to deliver it!
