Why vote for Alfred?

As a third-year student entering my final year, I’m excited to stand for election as your representative in the School of Chemical Engineering. With experience as treasurer of two societies, I’ve learned how to turn ideas into action and advocate effectively on behalf of others. I believe our department has enormous potential for improvement and collaboration, and I’m ready to help lead that change.

If elected, I will push for stronger communication between the Schools of Chemistry and Engineering, ensuring students benefit from clearer academic and research pathways. I’ll work to make module leads more accessible, so questions and concerns don’t go unanswered. I also want to foster greater integration within the School of Chemistry, connecting students across years and disciplines to build a more supportive academic environment.

Events play a vital role in building community, so I’ll advocate for more joint activities with the Chemical Engineering Society, giving us chances to connect, relax, and learn from each other outside the classroom. Finally, I’ll campaign for improvements in first and second-year chemistry labs because a strong foundation matters.

I’m passionate about making your voice heard and your experience better. Let’s build a stronger, more connected Chemical Engineering department together.
