Why vote for Emmanuel?

I bring a strong foundation of leadership and service, having held key roles in Adult Social Care before joining the MSc Mental Health Nursing programme at the University of Southampton. My career as a Lead Adult Care Practitioner, Senior Autism Practitioner, and service leader in regulated care settings has equipped me with the skills, values, and confidence to lead collaboratively, make informed decisions, and champion inclusive, person-centred practice. These experiences have shaped my commitment to fairness, accountability, and the belief that leadership must elevate every voice, not just the loudest ones.

Throughout my professional journey, I have supported individuals with complex needs, led multidisciplinary teams, and overseen safeguarding, quality assurance, and service governance. Working closely with diverse groups—including people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and varied cultural backgrounds—has strengthened my dedication to equity, dignity, and inclusion. I understand the importance of creating spaces where people feel heard, respected, and empowered. If elected, these values will guide every decision I make.

If voters choose me, I will focus on three core priorities:

1. Championing Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging
I will actively promote a culture where every member feels represented and valued. I will work to remove barriers, encourage participation, and ensure that diverse perspectives shape our direction. Inclusion will not just be a principle—it will be our daily practice.

2. Strengthening Leadership Through Openness and Collaboration
I believe that strong leadership is transparent, accountable, and rooted in communication. I will build clear, accessible channels for members to share concerns, contribute ideas, and stay informed. By leading with honesty and clarity, I will ensure that decisions reflect the genuine needs of our community.

3. Driving Growth Through Learning, Development, and Innovation
My background in training teams, implementing evidence-based practice, and supporting workforce development has taught me that investment in people leads to long-term success. I will support professional growth opportunities, encourage reflective and innovative practice, and help create an environment where learning is continuous and everyone feels able to progress.

Across my leadership and clinical journey, I have demonstrated the ability to listen deeply, act decisively, and lead with compassion. I am committed to building a community where everyone feels included, supported, and empowered to contribute.

Thank you for considering me. With your support, I am ready to lead with integrity, represent your interests faithfully, and help shape a more inclusive, collaborative, and forward-thinking future for us all.
