Why vote for Chun-Min?

As a Master’s Marketing student and a former professional football and futsal player for over a decade, I live and breathe sports. I understand that for many of us, sport isn't just a hobby, it’s our community, our mental health, and our identity. However, I also know the pressure of balancing a rigorous academic schedule with the costs of staying active.

If elected as your VP of Sports, I will focus on three core pillars:

  • Accessibility & Affordability: No student should be priced out of their passion. I will apply my marketing and management background to help clubs develop strategies that lower membership fees without sacrificing engagement or quality.

  • Diversity in Sport: Whether you are an elite athlete or a complete beginner looking for a new hobby, I will advocate for a wider range of sports options that reflect our diverse student body. If your "familiar sport" isn't here, I will work to help you find a home for it.

  • Campus-Wide Wellness Events: I plan to launch high-visibility sporting events designed to trigger a "sport-trying" mindset. By bringing clubs together for large-scale showcases, we can increase cross-club collaboration and make healthy living the easiest choice for every student.

Let’s make Team Southampton more inclusive, affordable, and energetic than ever before!!!!

The first issues I will address are those that appear most frequently in the anonymous Google Forms I post on my campaign Instagram account. Currently, students are complaining about sports/membership fees and quality, but I will do my best to address as many as possible during the campaign. So, if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment here or visit my campaign account.

I must clarify that these manifesto ideas are my own, and I possess the willingness and enthusiasm to implement them. Using tools to aid expression does not alter the original intent of my policies. Moreover, current campaign regulations do not prohibit the use of AI. In modern society, AI can be a tool to assist in refining sentences.
However, from a student's perspective, I am more concerned with: Do the policies truly address the pain points faced by students?

Are candidates willing to make the greatest effort to fulfill their promises?

Candidates take responsibility for their words?

Thank you for writing down your thoughts. If you still have further questions feel free to ask me!
