Why vote for Mei?

Hello, my name is Mei, and I am currently a Year 1 Pharmacology Course Representative. Over my time at Southampton, I have worked closely with students and other course reps in the school of biological sciences, representing students' voices in Student-Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) meetings.

Having prior experience as a Year 1 Pharmacology Rep and House Captain in sixth form, I am familiar with how the SSLC and school operate, and I am fully capable of leading and managing a team to collaborate on negotiating changes to improve the student experience and teaching.

If I am elected as your president, I am determined to foster a stronger sense of community between the staff and students through ensuring clearer communication and solidifying the PAT system to cultivate a stronger relationship between students and their PAT, so that students can receive full academic and pastoral support. I also want to promote more career enrichment opportunities related to various biological science disciplines and refine the teaching approach for workshop tutorials.

I believe everyone deserves their voices to be heard, and as president, I will strive for meaningful change and action to take place, so that you can have a productive and fulfilling experience.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at mlml1g25@soton.ac.uk. Thank you for reading and vote Mei for president!
