Hello hello! I am Anya, a third-year medical engineering student and your current Mechanical Engineering Department President. My goal as your department president will be to improve the course rep experience and work to enhance the student experience. I have two years of experience as a course rep, as well.

As your department president, I have:

  1. Run specialised course rep training outside SUSU.
  2. Provided advice on how to approach module leads for meaningful change.
  3. Worked towards streamlining the Student Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) meetings.

Having received feedback from your course reps, in addition to the support listed, I will:

  1. Continue to provide the support listed above.
  2. Provide a report template with clearer instructions on what to include.
  3. Support initiatives to help international students break barriers.
