Why vote for Gene?

I believe that if elected, I can make changes to the nursing program that will benefit all students, regardless of their year of study. I've been a student rep for the last two years and have already made suggestions that have been used to improve modules for future years. In addition to being a student rep, I regularly encourage and support students in group chats, helping them find the best resources and guiding them. I really believe that student-led intervention is the best way to improve our course and give all students the best university experience. I am also a confident speaker and will stand up for students' voices on matters that are important and need to change, and will try to work with students to understand what that looks like. Ultimately, students need a voice and should be heard by lecturers and staff, as we are the ones using and engaging with the content provided, and I want to provide opportunities for the course to grow and improve alongside the student body.
