Liyi 'Kelly' Zou - Student Councillor

Hi, I'm Liyi, a first-year Accounting and Finance student.
I've done a few things that taught me how to listen and represent people. At Shenzhen University, I helped over 200 students and parents with one-to-one consultations. That's where I learned to be patient and clear. I also guided 100+ freshmen as an Orientation Leader, and spoke to 50+ students about IELTS exam tips. They trusted me enough to ask for personal advice afterwards.
Here in Southampton, I volunteered at the Chinese New Year Gala, handing out prizes and helping people scan QR codes in a busy environment. I also work at British Heart Foundation every time i was available, talking to customers face-to-face and meeting their needs.
So what kind of councillor will I be? I'll show up to meetings, listen to what students are worried about, and ask the right questions to the people in charge. I'm not here to make big promises I can't keep. I'm here to do the job.
