Samira Kadyrova - Business School President

As a current Course Representative, I already have experience listening to students and sharing their feedback to help improve our academic experience. During my first year studying Finance and Financial Technology, I have seen how important it is for students to feel heard and supported. Keeping strong academic results has also helped me understand how important the right support can be in helping students succeed. Before starting my degree, I completed my Foundation Year at the University of Southampton, which gave me a better understanding of the challenges students can face when adjusting to university life. As an international student, I understand that every student’s experience is different and I believe this helps me connect with people from different backgrounds.

Alongside my studies, I work as a Residence Student Support, where I help students with everyday concerns and wellbeing. This has helped me become more responsible, approachable and flexible when supporting students. If elected, I want to improve every part of student life academically, socially and personally. I want to help build better communication between students and staff, make sure feedback leads to real improvements and create an environment where every student feels supported and comfortable speaking up.
