Why vote for Tiya?
Hello, I’m Tiya, and I’m running to be your School President for Economics, Social and Political Sciences. Through my time as a Course Representative, I have gained insight into how student experiences can vary across departments, particularly in areas such as academic support and communication. If elected, my focus will be on creating a more consistent and well-connected academic experience across the School.
One priority will be improving alignment in the support students receive, particularly around revision materials and assessment guidance, so that all students feel equally prepared regardless of their course.
I also want to strengthen how feedback is shared and acted upon. By working closely with representatives and staff, I aim to ensure student views are clearly communicated and lead to visible outcomes.
In addition, I will promote wider participation in School initiatives by making opportunities more visible and encouraging collaboration between departments.
I believe this role is about ensuring that student perspectives are represented effectively at a broader level, and I am committed to contributing to a more cohesive and supportive academic environment across the School.
Real voices. Real change. Tiya
