Why vote for Yash?
As Economics Department President, I won’t just represent you, I’ll make sure your concerns actually lead to change.
Being an Economics Course Representative has given me real insight into the challenges students face, as well as the skills to communicate effectively between students and lecturers. I’ve had direct experience gathering feedback and turning it into constructive suggestions, ensuring student voices are not only heard, but acted upon.
Outside of lectures, I’ve stayed actively involved through initiatives like the T&I Society’s Investment Fund and Career26’s Asset Management Programme. This reflects a genuine interest in this field of study beyond the degree and has strengthened my analytical approach to problem-solving.
If elected, I will ensure student feedback leads to visible outcomes by improving transparency between students and staff, making sure concerns are addressed efficiently and keeping you updated on changes that affect your course. I will also make sure all students feel represented, from first years to finalists.
Most importantly, I’m approachable. I want you to feel comfortable raising any issue, knowing it will be taken seriously. This role is about improving your academic experience and I’m 100% committed to making that happen.
I listen. I act. I deliver.
