Why vote for Susanna?
As a current 2nd Year MB/Oc Course Representative, I’ve seen both the strengths of SOES, and the challenges students face day to day. I’ve listened to concerns across all year groups, and if elected President, I want to turn those conversations into action.
A big issue is affordability at the NOC cafeteria. I want to work with the University and School to push for more student-friendly prices, an idea would be to introduce a meal deal option that is accessible and good value. If other campuses can offer this, SOES should too.
Transport is another major barrier, particularly for first years travelling from halls. Journeys can take over an hour, which impacts both attendance and wellbeing. I will advocate for more direct and reliable transport links to make getting to NOC easier and more efficient.
Additionally, I strongly believe that opportunities requiring students to pay, such as some “internships” or “field courses”, should not be promoted within SOES. I will push for fairer, more accessible opportunities that are open to all students, not just those who can afford them.
As President, I want to make sure that there are opportunities for everyone to express their opinions and to seek advice. I want to hear your voice!
