Kaylee 'Poonyawee' Vatcharakomolpun - Student Trustee

I am committed to ensuring that student voices are not only heard, but acted upon with transparency and accountability. Through my experience as a Course Representative, I have worked closely with students and staffs to raise concerns, communicate feedback, and contribute to meaningful improvements in the academic experience.

As an international student, I am actively involved in a student association representing my home country in the UK for almost 3 years. This has strengthened my ability to understand diverse perspectives, represent different communities, and work collaboratively within a committee to support a wider student body.

These experiences have also given me a strong understanding of how student organisations are structured, how decisions are made, and the importance of effective governance and accountability within representative bodies.

If elected, I will focus on holding Sabbatical Officers accountable to their commitments, ensuring their actions reflect what students truly need. I will actively question decisions, promote transparency, and make key information more accessible and understandable to all students.

I bring a professional, responsible, and balanced approach, with a strong focus on fairness and long-term impact rather than short-term visibility. I will work to ensure that the Student Council remains an effective and trusted body that delivers real oversight and meaningful outcomes for every student.
