Why vote for Ben?

Hi, I am Ben and I would love you to vote for me to be the next Maritime Department President. I bring enthusiasm, 2 years’ experience as a Maritime Engineering Course Rep, proactive attitude, and desire to make sure everyone has a voice.

To help you decide please see below.

Represent student views: I will continue to ask for feedback from you and represent these to the Department and SUSU. I will make sure that your views are used to shape the future of the course and the new assessment load framework.

Support an inclusive culture: I will continue to reach out to you all to make sure you feel welcome. My approach means that I have supported students in taking part in University life.

Proactively bring about change: Frequently I have brought about change that has ensured students are not disadvantaged. These include making sure that all lectures are recorded, and that lectures are delivered in suitable venues.

Informing people of critical information: I know how easy it can be to miss important information on assessments and exams. I will continue to make sure that you are aware of critical information to help you achieve your potential.

I hope that you decide to vote for me as I am passionate about supporting you and making sure that your voice is heard. My hard work was recognised in the SUSU Awards where I received the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences Best Contribution Award as a Maritime Engineering Course Rep.
